See state-of-the-art, innovative products in action in the new DNEX Product Demonstration Zone. Demonstrations will be taking place throughout DNEX 2017. All demonstrations are free to attend and you do not need to book a place in advance. The Demonstration Zone can be found in Grandstand Hall.

DEMONSTRATIONS TIMETABLE

Wednesday 27th of September

10:30   Abacus Healthcare
Abacus healthcare will demonstrate their popular and unique Gemini platform bath with 3-in-1 functionality for bathing, drying and changing.

11:00   Handy Fasteners
A simple alternative to traditional buttons, Handy-Fasteners are magnetic fasteners that, when attached to clothes, can remove the hassles associated with fiddly, traditional buttons.

11:00 Cyclone Mobility – Demonstration in the courtyard by the Colonel Porter Suite
Demonstration on the revolutionary ‘click and go’ Batec handbikes! We will demonstrate the ease of getting the Batec on and off a wheelchair in seconds and allow visitors to try the Batec to see how life changing it really is.

11:20   Sole Mates
A demonstration that will explain the effectiveness of Sole Mates’ insoles for most common foot, knee, hip and back problems.

11:40   Wiltshire Farm Foods
Presentation of the award-winning pureed range with explanation of how the Wiltshire Farm Foods meals are prepared with input from dieticians/ nutritionists. An outline of the delivery service, the simple cooking methods and the special dietary requirements catered for.

12:00 Yorkshire Care Equipment
In this session we will demonstrate how the revolutionary Raizer falls lifting device is raising much acclaim with falls teams and other healthcare professionals throughout the UK.  It’s comfortable, quick, supportive and is a one-carer lift.  This is your chance to be able to try the product for yourself.

12:20   The Rings
An explanation of how The Rings guest house can break down into 20 different combinations to meet different group needs. The audience will also help compile a “wish list” for future accessibility plans for the farm. Extra feature – talk on the book “The Journey to The Rings, You Couldn’t Make it Up” written by The Rings owner, Moira Henderson, sales of which raise funds for the charitable side of the business.

14:00   Contact a Family –Makaton Taster Session
Makaton uses signs, symbols and signs to help children and adults communicate. This Makaton Taster session will provide a general insight into what Makaton is and who uses it.  You will have the opportunity to learn approximately 30 Makaton symbols and signs during this fun and interactive session – and discuss ideas how you could use Makaton.

A practical session which includes a workshop and scenario taken from Benmor Medical’s CPD certified course “The Management of the Plus Size (Bariatric) Patient”
