Disability North nominated as Sainsbury’s Charity of the Year Disability North is delighted to announce they have been nominated as Sainsbury’s, Heaton ‘Charity of the Year’.
Sainsbury’s will be working with Disability North over the coming year to help raise funds for a brand new external lift at Disability North’s centre. Angie Lowery, Sainsbury’s PR ambassador said: “Disability North was chosen as our "Charity of the Year’ as we found it to be a well run organisation, it offers a great deal of help, advice and support to a wide range of disabled people." Kevin Wright, Marketing & Events Manager commented: We were delighted to be selected as Sainsbury’s ‘Charity of the Year’. The money raised will help towards a brand new external lift and updating the conference room, which will be able to accommodate more disabled people. We look forward to working with Sainsbury’s over the coming year.” Disability North aims to promote inclusion, independence and choice for disabled people in the North, and provides free and impartial advice, support and information to anyone with an interest in disability. |
