Female Personal Assistant Required – Blaydon Area

Hours:       Up to 16 hours per week – Job Share would be considered

Pay rate:   £9 per hour gross

A Female Personal Assistant is required to assist and work closely with a lady who has support needs around both her physical and mental health who lives independently in her own home.  Candidates must have experience of supporting people in relation to their mental health as well as knowledge of pain management and the effects of chronic pain.

For this position, daily work will be around the employer’s home and out in the community.  The duties and requirements will be to assist with a mixture of domestic tasks, provide support to attend medical appointments and social activities and some personal care.

The successful candidate will be required to be able to work both independently and as part of a team, possess good time keeping skills and initiative.  They will need to be able to build a good rapport with the employer, possess good time keeping skills, use initiative and be intuitive to another person’s needs and moods.

The role will also involve supporting the employer with their passion for nature by helping to feed wild birds and also help with looking after their own birds which include 4 cockatiels and 1 canary.

The hours of work will be negotiable to suit the employer’s needs.  However some flexibility with working times may be required to provide support to attend medical appointments.  Additional hours will also be offered to cover sickness/holidays of other staff members.

A full driving licence is essential, as is own transport and mileage will be reimbursed.
