My care package is 24 hours and I employ 9 care staff.

I’m 71, human and power chair dependent. I live in Benton, in a fully converted bungalow.

My interests are getting out in my van, sight seeing as much as possible. I love walking my two Jack Russells. My food is 90 per cent organic. My garden is mainly wild life. I try to keep my life as active and as interesting as possible. I am a hospital governor. Google Mary Laver to find out more about me.

After being active in the disability movement and driving, in 2009, my power chair from Lands End to John O’Groats I have now decided to focus on working through my very long Bucket List. My plans include visiting the Eden Project, Longleath, and many other places of interest.

As I am severely disabled due to Rheumatoid Arthritis which has left me totally human and wheelchair dependent. My pain is totally controlled by diet. You must be able to look after me, by this I mean feed me, cook and prepare my meals and do all of my personal care. Finally you must have a love of Jack Russell dogs, I have 2.

What sort of person am I looking for?

Experience in the care industry would be a great advantage but not essential. Be a team player, and be over 25 with a full clean driving licence.

This is a no smoking post.

DBS check will be completed.

This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 – 4
