I am recruiting for new members to join my 24/7 support team.

You will work within an established team of 7 and full training will be provided.

My name is Mary, I live independently in my own home which has been fully adapted for my needs.

Although physically I am dependent on my support staff, I am determined that this does not impact on my ambitions and love of life.  It is important to me that my life is kept interesting and as active as possible.

I love to go out around the area in my accessible van and do as much sightseeing as possible.  I have a Jack Russell who loves to join me, it is important that you are comfortable with small dogs.

In 2009 I went from Lands End to John O Groats in my Power chair.  I am now working through the other things on my bucket list.

I am an active member of my community and have been heavily involved in the Disability Movement.  I currently hold a post as a hospital governor.

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, as a result I use a power chair full time and am fully dependant on my support team for my daily needs.

The support you will provide for me will range from all of my personal care, daily living tasks to preparing meals.  My pain is controlled by my diet.

What sort of person am I looking for?
Experience in supporting people to live independently would be an advantage but not essential.

You must be a team player and have a full clean driving licence, able to drive my VW transporter van and be over 25 for insurance purposes.

A sense of humour is always good, and you must be comfortable around my dog.

This is a no smoking post.
