The purpose of this job is to provide my son (who is 7) with the personal and social assistance that he needs.  This may involve supporting him alongside myself or on your own either in the home or out and about in the community.  My son needs a lot of support in relation to his epilepsy, but full training will be given in relation to this.

My son is a happy and inquisitive young man.  His routine is very important to him and he really enjoys being out and about.  He enjoys long dog walks, going to parks and is generally a very active person.

The ideal candidate will be confident, friendly and very fit, my son enjoys long walks and needs constant supervision and his Personal Assistant will need to keep up with him.  My son is also non-verbal so his Personal Assistant will need to be patient and willing to work closely with my son and myself to learn how to understand him.  There is the potential for this role to become permanent.
