Personal Assistant

8 hours per week (32 hours per month)

£10.00 per hour

Newburn area of Newcastle upon Tyne with some travel across the North East

Personal Assistant required to support a friendly 26-year-old, visually impaired lady at work.  You will provide the support and assistance that she needs in order to do her job to the best of her ability and enable her to work in the way she wants.  You will need to be comfortable around dogs as she has a guide dog in order to get around safely.

You should be a driver with your own car as the role will involve driving to events and information days around the North East, assist with setting up stands and making them visually appealing.

You will need to be happy for her guide dog to travel in your car too.

You should be friendly and down to earth, be willing to work in an office environment and be confident with reading out loud when needed, be able to take accurate notes at meetings and proof-reading documents as required.

You should also be flexible as although the post is limited to 32 hours per month, it may not be set at 8 hours per week all the time.

Please be aware that this is a 3-year funded position, to be reviewed at that point.

If a DBS is required we will scan and email your DBS information to the information officer at Newcastle Civic Centre. Documents will be stored securely and electronically until the DBS comes back and they will then be deleted.
