To be worked 7.30am to 10.30am Monday to Friday in school term time

To be worked more flexibly in school holidays when some weekend working may be required

Pay;                     £10 per hour

We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support our son who is 8 years old and who needs assistance with all aspects of daily living.  Our son has a condition that means that he is not able to move independently, nor is he able to communicate verbally.  Your job will be to provide him with the personal, practical and social assistance that he needs to enable him to live a fulfilling life.

In term time this will usually involve supporting our son to get ready for the day then escorting him from his home to school in the school taxi which will return you to our home for you to finish your shift.

In the school holidays the role will include things like enabling our son to take part in family activities (he has three siblings and we would all love it if we could go out as a family more often) and supporting our son with activities that he enjoys.  If our son needs intensive support from us (his parents) or taken to an appointment, you will be required to be on hand to support his siblings in the home.

Our son does have some medical needs but you will be given full training in order to be able to support him around these.

This post is subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS checks.
