Personal Assistant (VIA/DP/001/20)

Hours 8 hours per week
Rate of pay £9.50 gross per hour
Location Gosforth

Personal Assistant required to support 21-year-old woman who has a mental health diagnosis and lives with chronic pain affecting her mobility.
You will assist with daily tasks such as getting up in the morning, getting to appointments or activities and encouragement to go out.
You will provide this support around what her family already provide so that she can have her own space and time doing what she would like to do and gain some independence.
You should have good general health as you will be required to push a manual wheelchair when out and about.
You should be friendly, kind and open-minded and have similar interests such as going to the cinema, shopping and going to musicals.
The role will involve some support at home as well as out in the community.
The role is for 8 hours per week, there are no set days so this job would be good for someone who can be flexible with their working hours and days.
Full Driving Licence essential.
