Job Title             Personal Assistant

Hours                  Up to 12 hours per week

Hours will be discussed at interview but will include two weekdays and a Saturday.

Rate of Pay        £9.50 to £10 per hour

Location             Fenham

Purpose of Job

To support a young man to access his community, enable him to try a variety of activities, ensure his safety at all times and to manage any challenging behaviour.

Your role will be to provide Zidan with the personal and social assistance that he needs to enable him to live a fulfilling life.

Working alongside another PA a main part of your role will be to enable Zidan to access his community, helping and encouraging him to access new places and take part in new activities within the community.

About Zidan

Zidan is 18, he loves his Ipad, music and watching cartoons.  He is a happy young man.  He enjoys visiting quiet places which are not busy, and he loves to walk.

Zidan has autism which can result in some challenging behaviour.

Zidan can understand what is said to him and communicate with some Makaton sign language and he has limited verbal communication.

Zidan is looking to try new activities and build up some friendships.

Zidan has 2 PAs with him when he is out in the community so you will work alongside another PA.
