Personal Care Assistant

Hours 16 hours per week, must be able to work part of these hours every other weekend, hours can be shared
Rate of Pay £9.90 per hour

Location Gosforth area

Personal Care Assistant required to provide support to 35-year-old male who after an accident now has quadriplegia therefore requires support with all aspects of his daily life.

This role is to provide personal care as part of a team, you should have experience of working in care however training will be provided on some tasks including using a hoist. You should have good general health as this role can be quite physical.

Tasks will include support with getting out of bed, washed and dressed in the morning and ready for the day ahead. This is when his day support staff will take over. Then you will be required on an evening/night-time to assist with getting undressed and into bed.

The hours required are for specific times of the day due to the nature of the job however the hours can be split between more than one PA, if for example you can only commit to mornings.

You should be confident, pro-active and have good interpersonal skills.
