Hours:  Various shifts between 9am and 7pm every day

Rate of Pay:  £15.00 per hour

Area: Kingston Park, Newcastle upon Tyne

 

We would like to employ 2 female personal assistants to join our daughter’s support team. Our 34 year old daughter is dependent on help for all of her needs.

Hours needed:

Saturday  9.30am to 2pm and 4pm to 5.30pm

Sunday 10am to 2pm

Monday 11.30am to 5.30pm

Tuesday 11.30am to 2pm and 4pm to 5.30pm

Wednesday 11.30am to 5.30pm

Thursday 11.30am to 7pm

Please note that we would like to share these hours between 2 personal assistants.

Availability to cover other shifts for holidays and sickness would be helpful.

At times you will work alongside another PA to help with personal care, massage and physiotherapy. At other times you will be looking after our daughter on your own.

This job would suit someone with previous experience of looking after someone with complex medical needs. However a caring attitude, some patience and willingness to learn on the job are also important.

About the role:

We are looking for a personal assistant to support out beautiful 5-year-old daughter, Maryam. We are looking for someone who can work alongside us as an extra pair of hands when we are out on social outings to allow us to be able to take all three of our children and keep them all safe.

 

About Maryam:

Maryam is a beautiful 5-year-old young girl, who lives at home with her parents and two sisters who are 8 and 10. Maryam loves to visit quiet environments which can include the park, swimming at the Alan Shearer Centre and generally being outdoors. At home she enjoys activities such as painting, reading books, playing with her teddies, water play and playing with playdough.

Maryam is autistic as well as having sensory disorder and PICCA. She is also nonverbal. She has no safety awareness so you will need to have awareness of her surroundings and always keep her safe while she is enjoying the activities she loves.
