PA Vacancy

Female Personal Assistant CB/Howdon

Female Personal Assistant

Hours – 10 hours per week (1 hour call AM, 1 hour call PM Monday – Friday)

Rate – £11 per hour (self-employed)

Area – Howdon

We are looking for a PA to join another PA to take on the personal care and support needs of our 9year old daughter.

Our girl is non-verbal, a wheelchair user and has significant disabilities but she communicates in lots of different ways and enjoys fun. She needs someone who will be able to listen with more than their ears and understand and help her overcome her barriers.

She is learning to use an eye gaze device and she has one at home. It would be useful if the person who takes this role would be happy to learn how to support or has experience of these devices.

We need someone who is familiar with hoisting, peg feeds with blended diets, and who can administer meds. Epilepsy training would be a bonus. She will also need someone to attend to her personal care, as she needs dressing, changing pads and showering.

We have a busy home and there are two younger brothers to get to know. We are a close family and would like to welcome someone who understands our busy life.

Currently we’re looking for someone who can do a 1 hour call in the am and the pm Monday to Friday and to cover holidays and illness from her current PA. It’s important that the person is on time as the am call is to help our girl get ready for school. We will be increasing support hours soon subject to funding so need someone who knows us well when these hours become available.

Please apply using our online application form.
