Female Personal (Care) Assistant PA/Tynemouth Full/Part-time

Hours: 20 – 40 hours per week

Rate: £10.00

We’re looking for caring, compassionate and committed people to join our small and friendly team.

As a PA, you’ll support a disabled woman in her 30s with a serious health condition and provide personalised care that can enable her and her two small dogs to stay at home together.

Despite constant hardships, this amazing woman continues to spread positivity and kindness and her wonderful dogs make great companions and brighten up every day.

PAs to assist with all aspects of care, including personal care, medication support, pain management, mobility issues, household tasks, meal preparation, companionship and errands through to care for more complex health needs.

PAs are required to learn and understand her complex long-term condition and build up their knowledge and skills to provide unique care that’s adapted to her.

It’s a great job for someone who wants to be or is already working as a PA. What’s really important is that you have the right values and skills to do the job. The right type of person will be reliable, trustworthy, flexible, empathetic, calm, patient and dedicated, with excellent communication skills and will be friendly and easy to get on with.

You’ll work on a one-to-one basis in her own home in a therapeutic environment where it is calm, comfortable and quiet. PAs to maintain dignity, respect and privacy when providing care at home.

A driving licence is preferred, but not essential, located in the Tynemouth area within walking distance to access local amenities and coastal walks.

We have permanent full-time and part-time posts available with opportunities to work additional hours and the potential to take on a more senior PA role. We want to employ the right PAs to ensure continuity of high-quality care.

A PA may work to cover the morning shift and then the afternoon/evening shift as part of a small team providing care and support all year round, including weekends and bank holidays, on a rota basis. You must be flexible to cover for others in the team.
