Hours: 30 hours per week split between 2 posts
Rate: £11.22 per hour

An opportunity has arisen for 2 reliable, self motivated support workers to join our small team. The 30 hours of support will be made up of 2 x ( 4 or 8 hour) day shifts plus some short 2 hour shifts around tea time. The days are flexible Monday to Sunday.
There will be some opportunities to cover extra hours for holidays and sickness and there may be some opportunities to work overnight shifts in the future.
Purpose of Job
You will be supporting our daughter Rachel; your role will be to provide support to Rachel in all aspects of her daily living, care and support needs. Ensuring that she has the personal and social support that she needs to live a fulfilling life, be comfortable in her environment and to be included in her community.
You will work as part of a wider care and support team, working under our direction.
About Rachel
Rachel is 30 years old. She lives in her family home with her parents and 2 younger siblings. Rachel has her own bedsit/ensuite.
Rachel enjoys many tactile/sensory experiences such as hand or foot massage and very much enjoys taking part in pampering sessions. Sometimes she enjoys lying watching her moving lights and listening to music.
In good weather Rachel will enjoy going out for a walk in her wheelchair, being out in the sunshine and feeling the wind on her face.
Rachel has PMLD and epilepsy. Rachel uses non-verbal communication and has a few physical cues which she will use to communicate to help you keep her comfortable. A calm atmosphere and routine are very important to Rachel.
