Female Personal Assistant Vacancies as part of a 24/7 Team supporting a teenager

Area: Gosforth


M is a delightful, fun-loving and active teenager. She especially enjoys meeting her friends, bowling, cinema, swimming and going to the theatre.

M has complex needs resulting from autism and learning disabilities. She can present with high levels of anxiety and challenging behaviour. In order to remain regulated and safe M requires 2-1 support throughout the day and a waking night.

M and her family are shortly moving to a new house which will provide M with her own living space and an office/overnight room for the team, whilst retaining some shared family areas.

Continuity of care and a team of familiar care givers is vital for M’s wellbeing, and to help her achieve her potential. We have a core team throughout the year, and some occasional staff during holidays.

We are now looking for candidates who have the requisite skills and experience to support M’s needs and become part of her core team.


Roles available

Term Time and School Holidays


Waking Night

from 9pm to 9.15am, including school run on school days

Three nights available


Term Time

Morning Shifts

7am to 9:30am including school run

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday available


Evening Shifts

3pm to 9.30pm Monday to Friday, including school run

Two or three evenings available


Weekend and School Holiday Day Shifts

There will be an opportunity to pick up additional shifts at weekends and in school holidays.


All postholders are expected to be flexible and to support the team as a whole to cover the rota, especially over holidays including Christmas and New Year.

We plan rotas 4-6 weeks in advance and do our best to offer preferred shift patterns.

We are adopting a digital rota app which will support shift planning, time management, holidays and other absence.



 Night Shift Roles (9pm to 930am) – £10.50 per hour rising to £11 following successful probation period

Day Time Roles (7am to 930 pm) – £10 per hour rising to £10.50 following successful probation period



  • Bank Holidays paid at double time.
  • Holidays 6 weeks
  • Pension qualifying contributory pension scheme which you will be auto-enrolled into, subject to the conditions of the scheme. The scheme is run by NEST.
  • Costco card for permanent members of staff
  • You are entitled to apply for the Blue Light Card
  • Cycle to Work scheme



Staff are supported to maintain their NAPPI qualitfication.

We are CPD recognised employer, offering online training in the following areas:

  • Autism Awareness
  • Children’s Mental Health
  • Managing Behaviour that Challenges
  • Administering Medication
  • Safeguarding Children
