Female Support Worker/Personal Care Assistant AMSNCL

Responsible to: Direct Payment employer

Hours:  Shifts are 10 hour waking nights 10:00pm-8:00am shifts

Nights to cover are Saturday and Monday.

20 hours (2 shifts per week)

Rate of Pay:  £12.50  per hour

Location:  High Heaton, Newcastle

A current support team is looking for additional staff who are able to work as part of a team within the family home.

Are you looking to make a difference, do you have experience in health and social care, and do you enjoy night working?  Then this could be a great opportunity.

 

Nature of the Job

Working alongside another PA through the night, you will provide waking night cover to support a 16 year old girl with complex needs.  This will enable the family to get some much needed sleep.

This is very much a waking night and due to her sleep pattern she often likes to play games, make potiins, watch movies/her phone/DVDs (from Friends to Disney)  and do various fun activities, including setting her PAs challenges through the night.

The role will also include some elements of light domestic tasks.  For example meal prep/ clothes for the next day, light cleaning, ironing etc.

During the night you will be responsible for any repositioning, change of pads and ensuring her safety throughout the night.
