I’m looking to employ a Personal Assistant for my son, Alex. Alex is a very active 13 years old, who never stops. Alex is very bright and displays this with his ability to sing along in different languages. Alex has a mischievous side too and will look to do things only on his terms.

Alex is quite happy in his own space and will keep to his own company for most of the time, particularly at home, where he spends a lot of his time in his bedroom.

To use up some of his energy, Alex enjoys going to the park, going on the trampoline and swimming. In addition to this, Alex enjoys going for walks, feeding the ducks and collecting acorns.

As part of Alex’s Autism, Alex can struggle is busy environments, so it is important to be proactive when going to different places and minimise the chances of Alex becoming overwhelmed.

Alex does not like receiving praise and this can be a trigger for him, along with people singing, humming or whistling. Alex communicates typically in single words rather than sentences, but this does not usually hinder his ability to say what he wants or needs.

A driver with own vehicle and clean licence is preferred but non-drivers may apply.
