Hours: Negotiable throughout the week this includes: Split shifts 7.15-9.30 am then 2.45-8.00 pm early evening (4-8 pm), weekends and waking nights (8 pm -8 am)
Rate of Pay: £11.02 per hour probationary period, £12.50 per hour there after. An extra £1 for weekend enhancement. Up to £25.00 Bank Holidays

We currently have positions available for a full time, part time and a casual worker who can work alongside a small team to provide care for a 16-year-old boy who has cerebral palsy and epilepsy alongside other health issues. Our son requires 24-hour postural support and needs adults to facilitate all of his care needs, giving regular medication and providing a stimulating environment. He displays a warm and cheeky sense of humour and we require that special person to join his team who can work with him so he can flourish in all areas of his life.
Brief details of the job:
We are looking for someone who has at least two years’ experience of working in care or a care qualification. This post would suit someone who has experience of working in the home and has childcare experience.
We wish to recruit someone who displays a friendly, warm, professional manner, and “can do attitude” who can engage appropriately with our son.
To perform personal care tasks as outlined in his care plan. Including giving medication, blended feeds via Gastrostomy and carrying out a home physio stretching programme.
To monitor our son’s health and to be able to recognise when to take action.
To promote his interests and hobbies and support him whilst accessing facilities in the community.
To be able to work in both a small team and independently throughout the shift.
To demonstrate a high level of awareness with health and safety and risk assessments throughout the shift.
To have good written and verbal communication skills which can shared with the appropriate people.
Willing to participate in training to ensure the skills and knowledge gained will provide the highest quality of support for our son.
Car driver essential.
