Born and raised in the North East, I have spent the most part of my career within the local authority leading support for communities and service users. Over the last few years a change in direction, sparked by my love and leadership and coaching, has taken me into the world of organisational development. Within the workplace, I lead on areas such as employee learning and development, leadership development, employee engagement and culture change. Outside of the workplace, I am continuing to grow my passion for coaching alongside a fellow Coaching Masters graduate in the form of a small personal development and coaching company.
However, my most important passion in life is my family. We love music, baking and crafting together and taking our new puppy on long walks. I’ve recently taken up singing lessons too! Family is also what has inspired me to be in this very fortunate Trustee position with Disability North. Growing up with my younger sister who has a disability, I have witnessed first-hand the difference that is made to a person and their life opportunities when their voice is recognised, respected and heard.
