Driver with own vehicle essential

Toby is a happy, fun loving, affectionate 6-year-old boy who lives with his parents and older sister. He loves being outdoors, in playgrounds especially the swings and trampolining and spending time on his iPad. Toby also loves his food and particularly snacking, pizza and pasta and visiting McDonalds being his favourites and to top it all, a slice of cake. He loves being in water, but you have to have to be vigilant as he has no sense of danger when outside especially when near rivers or streams.

Toby has been diagnosed with ASD, Sensory Processing Disorder and Global Developmental Delay and is non-verbal. He is starting to use PECS and will take your hand to communicate when he wants to show you. He wears nappies so there will be personal care involved and when out and about must always have his hand held and supervised closely at all times.

Ideally, mum and dad would like a PA who is enthusiastic with a genuine interest and enjoyment in working with children and has experience of caring / working with children with Autism and / or learning disabilities.

A driver is essential for this role; mileage will be reimbursed.

This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS check and references which will be taken up if you are offered the post.

This vacancy will close as soon as a suitable candidate is appointed.

At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
