Job Purpose:

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support our daughter after school during term time and more flexibly during school holidays. About our daughter:

She is a vibrant and energetic young girl who thrives on being active. She enjoys activities like swimming, horse riding, visiting soft play centres, and spending time outdoors. She also loves performing — singing, dancing, and reenacting scenes from her current favourite, Matilda.

She is autistic and has sensory processing disorder. She also has PICA and suspected ADHD, which can sometimes influence her behaviour. We are looking for a kind, caring, and reliable Personal Assistant to support a friendly and thoughtful 59-year-old man in his family home. You don’t need any previous experience — this is a companion role and would suit someone who is naturally warm, enjoys good company, and is happy to go at someone else’s pace.

About Me:
I live with my wife, grown-up children, and our lively, vocal dog. I have a real passion for history — I love exploring old churches and learning about the Vikings. I also enjoy watching the mighty Newcastle United at St James’ Park and spending quiet time at home.

Your Role:
As my Personal Assistant, you’ll be offering companionship and light support with the following:

  • Going for walks with me and our dog
  • Visiting coffee shops together
  • Exploring historical buildings and sites
  • Spending time with me at home, chatting or just being present

This is not a personal care role — it’s about building a friendly, supportive relationship and helping me stay connected to the things I enjoy.

Who This Would Suit:

  • Someone patient, friendly, and open-minded
  • Someone happy around dogs
  • No formal experience is required — just the right attitude and a willingness to get to know me

If you enjoy history, a good cup of coffee, and gentle walks — and you’d like to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life — I’d love to hear from you.
