He is, allergic to dog hair, cat hair and lanolin. He can stroke cats or dogs, but must wash hands immediately afterwards, he carries emergency medication with him and knows to ask for his pump if an attack starts. His eyes will become red and swollen and will breathe from stomach. Previous attacks have hospitalised him.

He is not allowed to have fizzy drinks, and can be particular about his food, he will keep wet and dry food separately on the plate, unless they belong together like beans on toast. He is slowly getting better in relation to this. There will be no personal care involved. He will travel fine in the car and there is no flight risk. It is hoped that a Personal Assistant will help him get out and enjoy himself.
