Artur is an easy-going unassuming man of Polish origin (he speaks English), who lives with his wife and 6-year-old son in the northwest of Newcastle. He is looking for a PA to take him out socially whether it’s a visit to the coast or a museum or just a place of interest and stopping somewhere for a cup of tea or hot chocolate or even just to provide support at home for him.

Artur has a hypoxic brain injury following a heart attack, and he now has a pacemaker fitted, and it has also impacted on his short-term memory and also his mobility when walking. When out and about Artur needs to be prompted to go the toilet as it can come on quickly and on occasions, he has a little accident.

The purpose of this role is to provide some respite for his partner Lidia to enable her to go swimming or the gym or to attend any appointments she has booked.

A car driver would be preferential, and mileage will be reimbursed, but not essential as Artur has a companion pass which allows the PA to travel free,

Hello, I’m Kate, a 33-year-old powerchair user, and I’m looking for a passionate, proactive female personal assistant to join my team. The role involves 8 hours of work per week, spread across Saturdays and Sundays, with two possible shifts on a rota: 08:00am – 12:00 noon or 17:00 – 21:00. There are also opportunities to pick up extra hours when cover is required.

My personal care routine, which includes assistance with showers, toileting, and transfers (using a hoist – full training provided), is a key part of the role. On some weekends, we may head out for shopping trips or tackle household chores. You must be a confident cook, as meal preparation will be part of the job.

As I have a canine assistance dog, you must be comfortable with dogs and willing to help clean up after her when needed. While I currently live in temporary accommodation in Elswick, I plan to move in the future.

Outside of my daily routine, I love spending time at the polytunnel, going for dog walks, and exploring my creative side through art. If you’re proactive, quick-thinking, calm, and enjoy spending time outdoors, we’ll make a great team.

This role is about supporting me to live independently, and I’m looking for someone who shares a passion for making each day both productive and enjoyable.

If this sounds like something you’d love to be part of, I’d be thrilled to hear from you!
