My son Zak is 11 years old. He is a happy, lively boy who has lots of energy. He loves to be outdoors, especially jumping in muddy puddles and picking up sticks. Other times he likes to relax with his tablet watching his favourite videos.  He really enjoys playing with sand and water, anything that is messy.  Zak has been diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and has sensory processing difficulties.  Zak is non-verbal and relies on an adult to solve problems to find out what he needs and to prompt him.  Your job will be to support our family with Zak and work towards achieving the best outcomes for him.  You must also be prepared and not afraid to get involved in all aspects of personal care.

We consider confidence, resilience, patience, enthusiasm and a good sense of humour to be essential attributes for this job.

We welcome candidates who value and are open to diversity and respect cultural and religious differences.

A driver with a clean driving licence is preferred.

About the Role:

Hi, my name is Emma. I’m currently looking for a caring and energetic Personal Assistant to support my son, Frankie, during social outings and home-based activities. This role involves keeping Frankie safe while encouraging his independence and enjoyment of the world around him.

About Frankie:

Frankie is an almost 7-year-old boy who is full of life and always on the go. He has a brilliant, cheeky sense of humour and a love for energetic play—whether that’s being on his scooter, swimming, bouncing on the trampoline, or exploring local parks. While he also enjoys downtime, he thrives when active and engaged.

Frankie is autistic and has Sensory Processing Disorder. He doesn’t communicate verbally but can express his needs in other ways, such as leading you by the hand. Frankie doesn’t yet understand danger, so he needs close supervision, especially when out and about.
