Ability North Project – Re-opening Announcement
Calling all people of the North East. Disability North and Motion North East are very happy to announce that the wonderful Ability North Project will be re-opening on the 7th of May!
If you do not know already, here is what it is all about…
The Ability North Project offers a series of free personal training programmes funded by Sport England. The training is to be provided to people with disabilities and mobility issues due to medical conditions. It is also open to those with depression and anxiety.
The aim of the project is to provide an opportunity to help people improve their health, fitness and wellbeing whilst building confidence to continue to keep active throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond!
Each participant will receive 3 free personal training sessions with programmes tailored to the individual’s needs, goals and abilities. All participants must be 16 and over.
Sessions are available between 10 am-2.30 pm, Mondays and Fridays.
Training will be held at Disability North’s fully accessible Dene Centre:
The Dene Centre,
Castle Farm Road,
Newcastle upon Tyne
