Employing Personal Assistants (PAs) is a great way to achieve greater independence, but there can be challenges along the way. Finding PAs who are a good match to you can be tricky, especially with less people presently applying for jobs. To build a good relationship with your PAs, you need to communicate well, be compassionate, set expectations, give feedback, and deal with conflicts. This is a lot to take on…
Developing a positive relationship with your PAs is vital for both of you. Having a PA who understands your needs and preferences can make your life much easier and less stressful.
This workshop will be a great way to connect with other people employing PAs, facing similar challenges. Sharing experiences and tips can be incredibly helpful and can lead to new insights, solutions and inspiration.
Thanks to funding from Skills for Care, we are able to offer this workshop for free. There are lots of new January dates below taking place at Disability North. Just click to enrol on the workshop (you don’t need to book a place for your PA).
