Female Personal Assistant – FDGNCL

Female Personal Assistant Required – Flexible zero-hour contract £265 per 24 hours plus paid annual leave fund

Job Type: A flexible zero-hours contract with shifts agreed in advance to fit with your own schedule.  The shifts are worked in blocks of 24 to 84. You will be able to sleep at night when on duty but may be called upon if required.

Rate of pay: £265 per 24 hours plus paid annual leave fund

About the role

An opportunity has become available to join a team of Personal Assistants (PAs) directly employed by a young professional woman with a complex physical disability, based in the North East of England.  Emma is a power chair user who requires assistance to live independently in her own home and to undertake her demanding yet rewarding role at a large environmental campaigning organisation, with frequent travel across the UK and occasionally Europe.

This job involves direct work with Emma, both at and away from home. This includes but is not limited to; assisting with personal care and domestic tasks, helping to facilitate travel and work life, and supporting with exercise and volunteering events. Your role is to provide Emma with flexible support in order that she can live the life she chooses.  Emma doesn’t have a routine life, nor does she want one!

This is an exciting, varied position with no experience in care required; many other skills and experiences can be valuable for this role. The role is best suited to friendly, respectful and open-minded individuals, who are extremely reliable and have the excellent communication skills required to provide Emma with attentive yet unobtrusive assistance.

The job is based in Newcastle upon Tyne and open to anyone within 4 hours travel of the city.

When you are on duty you will be based at Emma’s home as well as travelling with her for work and leisure. You will be able to sleep during the night when on duty.
