Personal Assistant – DHOGH

Location: Rowlands Gill, Gateshead

Hours: Either 3 early morning shifts- 06.30-8.30am (total 6 hrs) or 1 afternoon/evening shift- 3pm-9pm and 1 early shift 06.30-8.30am (total 8hrs)
Term time but non term time hours available if PA wishes

Hourly pay rate: £15.00 per hour

 

My name is Daniel, I have ASD/LD- although I’m 13 yrs old I’m intellectually much younger. I am able to verbalize my needs but use phrases mainly to communicate so you will need to learn my language. I can have challenging behavior and sensory issues that make me stim a lot. You will need to learn my routine and help with sensory issues by using a weighted blanket and other sensory equipment. I am a happy lad that loves to be read too and likes someone who can draw for me, mainly minions and Disney characters. I live with my mam and older brother. I have my own wet room to make it easier for someone to help me with a wash and I wear a back pack with rein when walking as I have no fear and don’t understand the world around me.

I can have challenging behaviour so I need a PA who has had experience of this. We have no pets.

Personal Care Assistant – STGTD

Location: Gateshead

Hours: 26 hours per week. Extra shifts available

Rate of Pay: £13.41 per hour (with double pay. for public holidays)

Training Provided: Yes

DBS Checks: Required

Special Requirements: PEG Feeding Assistance

Holidays: 5.6 weeks holiday per year

 

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Personal Care Assistant to provide 24-hour care for a 57-year-old man with Huntington’s Disease. The individual requires support with complex needs, including PEG feeding, personal care, and medication management. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of life of someone with complex healthcare needs.

Candidates that do not live locally will be required to drive due to start/finish times of shifts.
