Wiktoria (pronounced Victoria) is a lovely little 10-year-old twin to her brother Oliwer (pronounced Oliver). She lives with her mum and dad and siblings in Benwell. The family also have a lovely labrador dog. Wiktoria has learning disabilities and high functioning Autism, she is non-verbal and communicates by showing you her needs and wants, she can use some Makaton signs to assist her in communicating. Wiktoria relies on a buggy when she goes out into the community both to assist her and to keep her safe as she is prone to running away and has no sense of danger, she is still in nappies so you would be expected to carry out personal care duties as her personal assistant.

Wiktoria requires her food to be blended or of a soft consistency as she struggles with textures and solids, as her personal assistant you would be expected to ensure her food is suitable for her to consume. Wiktoria does not engage in technology and prefers to entertain herself with crafts or shredding paper and toilet rolls, this can be a repetitive behaviour. She is a natural “water baby” and loves anything to do with water, she particularly enjoys swimming and the sensation of shower water, so she would love a personal assistant to help her attend the local swimming pools. She also enjoys music when she is in the mood.

Wiktoria is looking for a PA who can assist her in accessing the community where she would like to engage in activities like swimming, play parks particularly the swings, and the Tim Lamb Centre or places that have sensory provisions.

Our client is currently looking for an experienced female personal assistant to assist her within the home and out in the community.

Judith has a variety of physical disabilities and Type 2 diabetes, and requires assistance with personal care, accessing the community and household tasks. Judith utilises a mobility scooter so you must have a good level of fitness to keep up with her and support her manoeuvring in and out of the vehicle.

Judith is bubbly and outgoing with a good sense of humour, she lives with her daughter and their adorable cat “Nova”. A chatty personality would be good as Judith enjoys conversing on a variety of topics, but you must be able to conduct your chores and chat at the same time. Judith is looking for someone to become part of the family dynamics, so a good sense of humour and the ability to engage with the other members of her family including the cat is essential.

Judith enjoys visiting the local High Street and shopping outlets to browse the shops, grabbing a coffee or two and a cake on her travels. In the warmer weather Judith enjoys a trip to the beach or local zoos.  Judith also enjoys accessing the cinema or Whitley Bay Playhouse and has a variety or activities she attends weekly including Tai Chi and chair yoga. Judith enjoys remaining at home on occasion where she will indulge in her favourite TV programmes including all the soaps and anything with Gordon Ramsey in, she’s an avid fan of his.

This role will require you to assist/prompt and complete domestic tasks including laundry and bed changing, and light duties including hoovering and general cleaning. You may be required to assist in simple meal preparations or prepare a meal for Judith if required. You will be required to prompt Judith to take her daily medication.

The role will include supporting and assisting Judith with showering, hair washing and other personal care where required. You will be expected to attend and accompany Judith to medical appointments or other scheduled appointments, and you may be required to assist in booking appointments/events.

This role will require you to book/arrange taxis adequate to accommodate a mobility scooter and you will be required to utilise public transport on occasion if required.

We are currently recruiting for a personal assistant to assist a lovely 7-year-old little boy who has Cerebral Palsy, Global Development Delay, ASD and Epilepsy. He lives with his mum and her wife and has an older brother and cats; he also enjoys spending weekends with his dad.

Oscar is semi – verbal and he can articulate his needs using single words and short sentences with hand gestures and noises and can sing when he is enjoying activities of his choice. He is a very tactile individual and enjoys pressure hugging when he chooses to. He is a wheelchair user and wears splints to support his mobility, he needs full support when he chooses to walk as he will fall.

Oscar is looking for a PA who can accompany him to his chosen venues or activities, including local parks, Tim Lamb Centre, Adventureland and trampolining parks (quiet sessions may apply). He loves music and dancing and visiting Seven Stories and the Baltic Centre, and during the summer, enjoys trips to the coast. Oscar is sensitive to loud noise in large areas so monitoring surrounding areas is required. He is also curious when dogs are about however, he does not like them when they come within his personal space. Personal care is required in this role in the form of toileting needs.

This role would ideally suit a car driver, and this would be preferable, and someone who is used to accessing public transport, as Oscar loves to go on the metros and buses and can recite all the different station names that he passes.

Personal Assistant Wanted to Support Divine at Dance City (Saturdays)

Location: Newcastle

Hours: Saturday mornings (approx. 2–3 hours)

Divine is a warm, enthusiastic young woman who loves to dance and is excited about joining Dance City. She would really benefit from a Personal Assistant who can support her to attend her Saturday morning dance sessions safely, confidently, and with plenty of encouragement.

 

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable PA to:

  • Support Divine to attend her regular Saturday morning class at Dance City.
  • Provide reassurance, motivation, and positive support.
  • Help with getting to and from the class (walking, bus or car depending on location).
  • Ensure Divine feels comfortable, safe and confident throughout her dance sessions.
  • Promote independence while offering the right level of encouragement.

This is a lovely, upbeat role for someone who enjoys dance, creativity, and supporting people to take part in the activities they love.
