Car driver with own vehicle essential

My daughter is 9 years old. She is autistic with learning disabilities & is nonverbal. She is a sensory seeker and loves running & trampolining. Her favourite activities at present, are her iPad and avatar games. She loves to throw too, which can keep you busy. When we have good weather, she loves the beach and park as well as going for a drive in the car.

She can exhibit challenging behaviour when dysregulated. You will need to be physically fit and resilient. She is cheeky and persistent in what she wants. She likes to be very physical in her play with those adults around her. Ideally, I would like to find someone with significant experience of working with children & SEN children given she can be quite unpredictable at times if dysregulated as she can hurt herself, and this is quite distressing to see if not seen before.

Days Asiya is in public this requires 2 carers so you would need to communicate effectively with the second carer. In our house there is Asiya’s twin sister, me (mam) and her dad and two family indoor cats. We are an easy-going family just looking for the right people to welcome into our home to help care for our daughter.

Personal care (e.g. washing, dressing& toilet assistance) as needed.

Own transportation which would need to be fitted with seating harness.

Meal preparation as required.

Light house duties after her meals if I’m not there.

You would be working alongside an additional carer and would be needed for up to 5 hours, weekends possible and being flexible with hours e.g. can be 2.5h over two days or 1 hr per day over 5 days.
