Disability North is a user led registered charity which works with, and for, disabled people, empowering them to maximise the control they have over their own lives. 

Our Service Team can provide information and advice on equipment and activities for daily living (ADL), benefits and Direct Payments as well as advising on many other aspects of disability and signposting to other organisations who can help.

Our Mission: Disability North promotes inclusion, independence and choice for disabled people in the region.

Our Vision: To be the best resource on disability in the North.

Care Act 2014, Overview, Practical Implications - And Reading Between the Lines.

We are delighted to announce this new Michael Mandelstam course for 2015. This course provides an independent overview of the Care Act 2014. The Act represents a complete shake-up of adult social care legislation. The course takes a practical, inter-active approach.

Time to TalkTime To Talk Day

Having a mental health problem is hard enough but sometimes the isolation and stigma can make it even worse.

On Time to Talk day 5th February 2015 we at Time to Change are asking people to talk about mental health and we are inviting you to come along and join in our conversations as well as have the opportunity to attend workshops, network and find out more about challenging mental health stigma and discrimination.
